DCertificate preferred but not requiredPass health examinationHave no immoral or criminal historyHave ability to work with other staff members and with childrenKnowledge of safe practices concerning school bus transportationKnowledge of problems and concerns of studentsKnowledge of basic record-keeping techniquesKnowledge of applicable sections of the Kentucky Administration Regulations and other applicable lawsKnowledge of health and safety regulationsAbility to maintain proper records and documentationAbility to assist student loading, unloading and seating arrangements as requiredAbility to understand and relate to childrenAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with othersAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAbility to maintain current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation proceduresAbility to maintain routine recordsAbility to observe health and safety regulationsDUTIES:
Assist children on and off the bus and escort children across street upon return home; assure responsible adult meets students leaving the busAssist parents and school personnel with safe loading and unloading of students; coordinate seating of studentsConsult with and assist bus driver in documentation of student information, record-keeping and completing route surveysAttend in-service meetings and training courses as assignedMonitor and assist students while bus is in operationMaintain current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation proceduresCommunicate with classroom aides, teachers, principals, and parents concerning student background, medical problems and behavior as appropriateOther duties as assigned by Coordinator of Transportation/Bus Driver Recommended Skills Administration Communication Occupational Safety And Health Surveys Unloading Transportation Management Apply to this job.
